This is How to Make Iced Coffee Without Ice!

This is How to Make Iced Coffee Without Ice!

Iced coffee is expensive! Purchasing a $3 chilled brew every day will set you back over $1000 by the end of the year. That’s quite a bit! Not to mention the time spent waiting in line listening for your name to be loudly mispronounced…

The obvious solution? Make homemade iced coffee! The problem? There are mainly two ways to make iced coffee at home—and they either result in a watered-down final product or take hours to execute.

The first approach calls for pouring your hot coffee into a glass stuffed with ice cubes (and thereby dramatically diluting your cup of joe). The second option consists of placing your coffee in the fridge until it finally cools off (by which point you’ll likely have forgotten you ever wanted iced coffee in the first place).

If only there was a third, much more efficient and delicious option for how to make iced coffee fast…

Well, there is!

Using the ZOKU Iced Coffee Maker, you can rapidly turn piping hot coffee or tea into a chilled beverage in around seven minutes. And the best part? There’s NO ICE involved, which means you won’t dilute your drink in the process.

In today’s blog post, we’ll walk you through how to make iced coffee at home without any ice using the Iced Coffee Maker and some piping hot coffee (or tea!).

It’s a method that you can use daily—all you need to do is freeze the Iced Coffee Maker before you go to bed so that it’s ready to work its magic in the morning!

1. Freeze your Iced Coffee Maker’s inner core.

To get started, remove your Iced Coffee Maker’s inner core from its protective outer sleeve and place the core in the freezer for 8–18 hours. For best results, you’ll want to make sure your freezer temperature is set to 0°F (-18°C) or colder.

Pro tip: We recommend storing your Iced Coffee Maker’s inner core in the freezer at all times—that way you are always ready to make an iced coffee at a moment’s notice!

2. Brew your coffee.

Before removing the Ice Coffee Maker’s inner core from the freezer, it’s time to make some hot coffee (or tea!).

Pro tip: You can use any brewing method with the Iced Coffee Maker. If you prefer single-serve coffee, you can even brew directly into your Iced Coffee Maker!

3. Transform your hot coffee into iced coffee!

When your hot coffee (or tea!) is ready, place the Iced Coffee Maker’s frozen inner core into the protective sleeve. Next, pour in your piping hot coffee or tea and attach the lid and straw. In just 7–8 minutes, you should be ready to sip a perfectly chilled iced beverage!

Pro tip: Many people prefer to sip their iced coffee directly from the Iced Coffee Maker (after all, it IS insulated and spill-resistant!), but you can also transfer your chilled brew to your favorite glass.

4. Adding cream and sugar.

Want to sweeten the deal? We recommend adding cream and sugar to the Iced Coffee Maker immediately after pouring in your hot beverage. This helps ensure the sugar completely dissolves and lets everything cool down together.
